Description
Mycotoxins (Silent Killers) are secondary metabolites produced by certain species of fungi growing under specific environmental conditions and are extremely harmful to poultry at very low levels which are commonly measured in parts per billion (ppb). Bentonite and Sepiolite present in Toxifree belong to the phyllosilicate group of clay minerals and have been extensively studied and used in feed to control mycotoxins. Moreover, Kieselgur also commonly known as Diatomite or Diatomaceous earth (DAE) present in “Toxifree” was found to have a great capacity for binding mycotoxins.
